Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Central County Fire Department's CERT Program prepares residents to help themselves, their families, and their communities before, during, and after a disaster. Participants learn practical skills in disaster preparedness, fire safety, light search and rescue, emergency communications, disaster medical operations, and more!

CCFD CERT includes more than 250 volunteers serving Burlingame, Hillsborough, and Millbrae. Free CERT Basic Training is offered approximately four times each year, including classes in English, Mandarin Chinese, and a Teen CERT program for high school students.

After graduating, members can continue building their skills through training, exercises, community outreach, and volunteer opportunities. Join CERT and become better prepared to support your family, your neighbors, and your community when it matters most.
