Plan Submittals and Permit Process

PLEASE NOTE: Standard plan review turnaround time is eight (8) to ten (10) business days. 
Expedited plan review turnaround time is four (4) business days.

 

1. APPLICATION | Complete Permit Application here. 

2. PLANS | CCFD requires three (3) sets of plans and two (2) sets of calculations / cut sheets / supplemental documentation – hard copies / prints only.

3. SUBMITTAL | Submit hard copy permit application and hard copy plans at the Fire Administration office at 1399 Rollins Rd., Burlingame, for plan review.

4. APPROVAL | Once plans are approved, an email will be sent to the address noted on the permit application stating that the permit and plans are ready for pick-up. This email will also include your official CCFD fire permit number and the amount due. 

5. PAYMENT | CCFD accepts exact cash or check only. Please make checks payable to Central County Fire Department. Our Fee Schedule can be found here. 

6. INSPECTION | To schedule an inspection, please call 650-558-7615 and be ready to provide your CCFD fire permit number. Messages will be returned within 24 hours.

FIRE FLOW TEST | Complete the fire flow test application here. 

BUILDING PERMIT | A valid building permit is required for all construction projects within the Central County Fire Department jurisdiction. Please ensure your building permit number is noted on your permit application materials.

BUSINESS LICENSE | A valid business license is required for all Central County Fire Department permits. Please ensure that a copy of your business license is included with your permit application materials.
