Fall 2026 CERT Basic Training
The CERT Basic Training course is the starting point for anyone interested in becoming part of the Central County Fire Department's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). No prior experience is required.
This free course is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Burlingame and combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on activities designed to build confidence and help participants respond safely and effectively during emergencies. The training concludes with a Skills Day where participants apply what they have learned through interactive stations and exercises.

Our next CERT Basic Training course will be offered in February 2027 in Millbrae.
