A request may be submitted to propose an alternate means of protection or methods of construction in place of complying with a specific code requirement, in cases where site or building conditions may pose difficulty in code compliance. Proposed mitigations must address the intent of the code requirement alternately.

The request application must be submitted to CCFD with a non-refundable review fee (see fee schedule) payable by check to Central County Fire Department, 1399 Rollins Road, Burlingame, 94010.  Please allow a minimum of one (1) week for review and response to the request.
